Trucker’s wife life

This is a blog for trucker’s wives, kindergarten teachers and authors! Everyone!

  • Wednesday, day 4 of our Spring Break for me trip with Mike in the truck, we saw a swarm of bees! We stopped at a Love’s in Graham, North Carolina and parked by the fuel island. Right on the end, there was a truck covered in bees! The back door had hundreds of bees on it and they were swarming around everywhere. It was something to see.

  • We drove alot today, across 20 through Louisiana, Mississippi, and into Alabama. 5 miles into Alabama we found this old truck stop called the Newborn Truck stop, complete with a chrome shop, diner, games, showers and more! We had a sit down supper and it was delicious! We’ll be in Orangeburg, South Caroline later tonight to deliver tomorrow. Goodnight!

  • We finally got rolling about 2AM Monday morning. We were supposed to be in Ft. Worth at 7 AM and we still hadn’t made it to Memphis. Mike hadn’t had any sleep besides a 2 hr nap. We delivered at 12:20, after the boss had said we needed to be there by 12. Texas is full of construction so we were a little extra late.

We picked up a few minutes away in Ft. Worth and now we’re heading to South Carolina to deliver. Mike had to sleep? So we’re at a Love’s in Van, Texas. While he naps, I’m blogging, coloring, Bible studying and working on lesson plans. More tomorrow!

  • We made it to just east of Memphis and discovered the carrier bearing is shot. So the driveline is not stable at all. We’re waiting ro find out how long before we can get it fixed. So hopefully we’ll have better news soon!

  • We’re leaving home headed to the yard to pick up a load going to Ft. Worth. Usually we drive at night but today we’re leaving early. I love running across Tennessee. Today I’ll get to see it all. More to come later. Happy Sunday!

  • Hello! I am a trucker’s wife and mom of 2 grown kids. I ride with my husband as often as I can. I am also a Kindergarten teacher. My summers and breaks are spent in the truck. This week, March 16 – 22, I will be riding with my husband. I started this blog to share my journey with him in the truck and with other parts of my life too. I hope you enjoy my blogs and would love to hear your experiences as well!
